"Elementary" is currently airing on Channel 5 in Tempe. On Friday, Feb. 15, Spoiler TV shared photos released for "Elementary" episode 1.17 titled "Possibility Two." On the episode teased in these new photos, Sherlock will work on a case involving a man that feels his illness was given to him on purpose by someone. Sherlock will also continue Watson's deductive training with a new lesson. On this week's episode, Sherlock hired Watson on as his apprentice in a more official capacity.
Lucy Liu is the actress behind Watson on this series, and she spoke about why she took on the series in an interview shared by News.com.au. She said the following about why she took on the role of Watson on this series:
"This is definitely a very different kind of role for me, which is why I wanted it. There's not much action in this for Watson. It's mental gymnastics for her. It's definitely more cerebral. Action isn't subtle, and I'm enjoying the subtleties of Joan Watson for a change. This is a different kind of chaos."
