Electric Safari re-visits Colorado Springs this holiday season

It’s holiday lions, tigers, and bears….oh my! It’s a sensational display of glistening electricity for all to see when the 'Electric Safari' comes to town at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This festival has been taking place for 21 years, and bringing fun holiday smiles to many families along with it. Over a million bulbs illuminate this one of a kind mountain zoo, with spectacular views of animal shapes, trains, and even an amazing view of the city lights gleaming down below.

There are also fun activities to be had, where children can make special gifts for their favorite furry creature, and even bring in a “wish list” item that can score you a discount on your admission ticket. Everyone’s favorite 'jolly old St. Nick' will also be making his appearance nightly, with a very special appearance on December 20th.

This celebration lasts for 19 nights, and ends on January 1st starting times being 5:30-8:30 pm, with the last admission at 7:30pm. Tickets average $8.25 for adults and $5.25 for children (ages 3-11), and even discounts for military and group tickets. More information can be found at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s site.
