Electric Forest Festival promises four days of music and mayhem!

The festival season is in full swing and nothing could be more exciting than a revival of Rothbury Music Festival. That is exactly what Electric Forest Festival will be. The new festival is set in the same area, at the same time that Rothbury used to take place, only this year the festival has a new name and a thrilling lineup that will draw music lovers from all around the country.

Starting Thursday, June 30th, the music will rage on through the night until Sunday the 3rd. The lineup features a wide range of musical acts, including national icons of every genre, from DJs to Rock'n'Roll bands. Standing out among the many big names is String Cheese Incident, which will play three nights in a row, promising two sets per night! This unbelievable schedule has some fans already nicknaming the festival "Cheesebury".

Other artists include smaller names that will undoubtedly cause a stir with crowds mixed between fans and new listeners. Rubblebucket will play their ridiculously unique brand of wacky, indie rock Saturday. The eight-piece Brooklyn band will take listeners on a trip that's a positive pleasure cruise for the ears.

Porter Robinson is on Saturday, exhibiting this young stars' fresh take on electronic house music, sure to delight his audience. This extraordinary new musician plays alongside big names like Dangermou5, Tiesto and Moby, and the future is looking bright. Don't miss your chance to see this guy perform live!

The Ragbirds, who knocked out the Rothbury audience in 2009 will be returning to roost at Electric Forest this year. The invigorating folk, roots-rock leads fans with beautiful vocals and violin backed by acoustics and drums.

The Sherwood Forest, of Rothbury will be resurrected for fans and newcomers to enjoy, relaxing in hammocks during the day and enjoying hidden stages and wandering performers all night. The set-up is by Wildcat lake, where a beach will give folks a hot spot to bask in the sun and take a dip. The festival will include bars, merchandise booths and food vendors. There's even a water park and golf course nearby for anyone trying to flesh out their vacation with some other experiences.

This Rothbury redux is more than just a replacement, it's an improvement. The remarkable lineup and festival features will keep fans in festy bliss all weekend that is worth the wait since Rothbury's last festival in 2009.
