Elderly woman sells everything she owns to fulfill last wish of her true love

What would you do for love? Elsie Smith decided that she would do anything to fulfill her true loves last wishes. Even if it means selling everything she owns. According to Komo News on Feb. 15, Elsie will be having an estate sale this weekend so she can pay for the burial of the love of her life.

Elsie says she has had a rough life until she met Joe 46 years ago. The last two years, Joe Smith has suffered with Alzheimer’s. After a two year battle, Joe passed away this past Tuesday.

Elsie has spent the days after Joe’s passing looking through everything she owns. She is planning on selling it all except for a painting of Jesus and some flowers.

Elsie is not rich and currently only has $9 to her name. She has outlived everyone in her life at the age of 91. She has no friends or family or even children. She only had Joe.

Joe made one last request to Elsie. He asked her not to have him cremated. So, she has to find a way to bury the love of her life as she promised him she would do. Even if it means selling everything she owns.

Elsie was moved to Regency Care Center in Washington for full time care on Thursday.

Elsie Smith is one of those people you don’t meet too often. She found the love of her life and when he died she was left alone, but she will fulfill a promise she made to Joe if it’s the last thing she does. Do you think you could sell everything you owned just so you could fulfill the last wish for the love of your life? If you can answer yes to that, then that is what is called true love.
