According to Monday's Click On Detroit News, family of an elderly Detroit, Mich., woman is offering a sizable reward for the safe return of a beloved dog who was stolen late last week.
The dog, a seven-year-old Shih Tzu named "Sugar Daddy," belongs to 82-year-old Audrey, who has opted to keep her last name private.
According to WXYZ News, Sugar Daddy was snatched from Detroit's west side by two men; one of the men was waiting in a car and the other, in Audrey's driveway.
The elderly woman was injured as one of the thugs attacked her outside of her home, whisking away her little dog into the waiting vehicle.
Audrey's daughter, Catherine Coleman, believes that the thieves targeted her mother, stating:
"They came after her for the dogs,"
Now, a $2,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of Sugar Daddy.
Audrey told Click On Detroit:
"Drop him off somewhere where we can go get him and we will pay the reward,"
"I just want my baby back. I want my dog back."
Anyone with information about this missing dog is asked to call 313-544-8299 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- SPEAK-UP.
