Boston Fire officials stated that is appeared there was no structural damage to the building but had requested City of Boston Inspectional Services to respond and confirm.

The elderly driver was removed from the vehicle with minor injuries and brought to the Emergency Room for evaluation.

The situation was declared under control by 1 p.m. but the section where the accident occurred remained blocked off by VA Hospital police.
