The subscription number has been revealed for "The Elder Scrolls Online" prior to the release of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. According to a report from Aus Gamers on July 19, SuperData disclosed that more than 772,000 players are subscribed to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The spin-off title first came out for the PC and Mac platforms on April 4 in North America.

"The Elder Scrolls Online" suffered from several major issues at launch, including an exploit used to duplicate items. However, the problems did not put off too many players as a lot of them are still subscribed to the service. After the initial 30 day period that comes with the purchase of the software product, players have to pay $14.99 a month. They could also get slight discounts by purchasing the 90 or 180 day options.

The subscription element is somewhat different on the console side. For the PS4, players do not have to be a member of the Playstation Plus service in order to play online. On the Xbox One, however, they must have an active Xbox Live Gold account. Furthermore, the subscription cannot be transferred from the PC and Mac to the two next-generation systems.

The development team at ZeniMax Online Studios will be allowing computer players to transfer their characters to the PS4 and Xbox One. Furthermore, PC and Mac customers who purchased the product before June 30 can also get a discount if they decided to purchase the digital version, which comes with a 30 day trial as well, on consoles. Otherwise, the video game is going to be priced at $59.99.

ZeniMax Online Studios previously announced that "The Elder Scrolls Online" has been delayed. Instead of a summer release, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game is currently targeting a late 2014 launch on the PS4 and Xbox One.
