'Elder Scrolls Online' gets PS4, Xbox One, PC release date in new PvP trailer

The Elder Scrolls Online received a new trailer Wednesday from Bethesda Softworks that focuses on the player versus player battle for the ruby throne of Cyrodill. Feel free to insert a Game of Thrones joke here but the PS4, Xbox One and PC MMORPG also finally received a release date.

The trailer focuses on the three factions of Tamriel - Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant, and the Ebonheart Pact - vying for the Ruby Throne. There's lots of swords, arrows and magic thrown about but also siege machines bringing down the walls of a stronghold.

For those not interested in PvP, there are other options as well including a main quest line that can be soloed and various secondary quests.

The Elder Scrolls Online, developed by ZeniMax Online, is now dated for April 4, 2014 for the PC and Mac while PS4 and Xbox One owners will have to wait until. The game is currently in closed beta on the PC.

The game will be a subscription-based affair starting at $14.99 a month with discounts if multiple months are purchased at a time.
