For the first time, the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) is hosting a Casino Night Fundraiser. Casino gambling tables will be put to work to help raise money for the ELC’s education programs. The first-ever Casino Night Fundraiser will be held in January 24, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Bent Pine Golf Club in Vero Beach.
The casino night will feature cocktails, silent auction, dinner, gaming and music. Limited seating is available for the Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. (Pre-registration is now open for the tournament.) Other gaming tables include blackjack, craps and roulette. Prizes are available for the lucky ones.
Tickets for the ELC’s Casino Night Fundraiser are $225 per person. Entry fee for the poker tournament is $50. For more information about the Casino Night Fundraiser contact Camille Yates, Development Director, at 772.589.5050, ext. 103.
The ELC is home to exhibit areas, picnic facilities, gift shop, native plant gardens and a visitor center. The ELC is located on County Road 510, near the western end of the Wabasso Bridge. Educational programs include nature walks, canoe excursions and boating adventures. Admission is $5 per person, children under 12 are free.
