Get in the spirit of the holiday season the South Bay way.
The City of El Segundo presents the 48th Annual Holiday Parade celebrating the theme 100 Years of Holidays on Sunday, December 11, 2011.
The parade gets underway at 1:00 pm and is expected to end about 3:00 pm. The route begins on Main Street at Imperial Avenue and proceeds south to El Segundo Boulevard.
The grand stand will be located at Main Street and Holly Avenue on the west side of the street where parade entrant performances will take place.
Floats will be theme decorated and the jolly, fat man in the red suit – that would be Santa Claus - will make his appearance at the end of the procession.
Why not make a day of it? Prior to the parade, have lunch at one of the many area restaurants and afterward browse the local shops and knock a few items off your list.
Floats, music, marching bands, giveaways, Santa and more….can you think of a better way to celebrate the season?
