It’s no surprise that Forbes Travel Guides awarded its coveted five stars to the El Ecanto, because the exclusive Santa Barbra resort is simply scrumptious in every way. No strangers to the 93 bungalow property (for which your LA Travel Diva also bestowed five stars), we certainly second the motion.

Casual chic with seamless service, fine food and accommodations that want for nothing, the Orient-Express operated hotel, which reopened a year ago after an extensive renovation, serves both as celebrity hideaway—squirreled away on seven acres of impeccably manicured land-- and a great escape for us ordinary couples and families seeking solitude.

Forbes Travel Guide announced its 2014 luxury travel ratings and named El Encanto folio -- the only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort in Santa Barbara. To celebrate, the hotel is offering an exclusiveFive-Star Experience” package, designed to showcase its personalized service and curated amenities. The special starts at $565 a night and is available through April 30, 2014. It comes with luxury accommodations with a guaranteed one room upgrade at time of booking, a 50 minute spa treatment (with an up grade to 80 minutes) and a five course dinner in the hotel restaurant.

“Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star rating is renowned as the ultimate achievement in the luxury hospitality industry, and we are delighted to be one of just 97 recipients in the world that made this prestigious list,” said the outgoing and uber-charming Ali Kasikci, who serves a regional managing director, North America, Caribbean, Mexico and Brazil at Orient-Express Hotels, Ltd. “We invite travelers to come bask in the glow of El Encanto’s stunning Five-Star Experience, from decadent spa treatments, to inspired seasonal California cuisine, to their very own bungalow of peace and tranquillity.”
