With deep brown copper color, this full-bodied rum exhibits honey-like viscosity and slow moving legs on a tasting glass. The aromas of molasses, old oak, vanilla, citrus and brown spices are typical of the old-world Demerara rums. Flavors of caramel, toffee, treakle candy, cocoa, vanilla and smokey peat blend to create a sybaritic experience. The very long, very smooth finish of dried fruits and honey is the last echo of decadence from this exceptional rum.
Demerara Distillers produces a wide range of unique rums. The El Dorado line of fine rums, introduced in 1992, sets a high standard for rums from the region, earning the moniker of liquid gold within the region.
