El Capitan Mountain: find the gorilla?

El Cajon Mountain (known to locals as El Capitan): can you find the gorilla head?

Finding Jesus’ image on tree trunks, cloud formations, and a myriad of other objects has become par for the course. Always good to look for heavenly images. But can you find the gorilla head on the side of El Cap?

The photo was taken from the top of Rattlesnake Mountain in East County and shows the western side of the mountain. There have been several suggestions as to what else is easily visible to the naked eye but the gorilla head seems to be one of the most common suggestions.

The lighting has to be right and the absence or presence of cloud cover very much so come into play on how any photo comes out in shooting it and finding images or symbols.

While some might wish their images were there, like a Mount Rushmore scenario with a bust of themselves, others might be content with a gorilla head.

Everyone can get their fifteen minutes of fame but this primate head is going to last centuries. Should he be named?
