Eidos Montreal announces ‘Thief’

Earlier today, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announced that they are developing a new “Thief” for both high-end PCs and next generation consoles.

“Thief” will be a reinvention of the classic stealth video game franchise, at the hands of Eidos Montreal, the studio behind “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”. In the first-person adventure, players will take on the role of Garrett, a master thief. As Garrett, it will be up to players to explore The City and uncover the truth to what is slowing tearing the city apart. In “Thief”, gamers will have freedom to choose their own path through the game’s levels as well as how they approach and overcome each challenge that await.

Not many details about “Thief” have been revealed at this time. Eidos Montreal and Square Enix are saving the first bits of coverage for the April issue of Game Informer. You can visit the game’s official site to keep up with any news.
