Egyptian Man Stripped and Beaten by Police

On Friday, February 1, 2013, Egyptians were glued to their television sets in complete and utter disbelief followed by disappointment, anger, and loss of hope. The images broadcast all over national television, and later international media, were that of a gang of Central Security Forces brutally and violently beating a male protester, dragging him on asphalt, and more disturbing, stripping him naked. It was that moment that reality hit; the ruling regime has not been overthrown, instead it has returned, with beards (referencing facial hair sported by Muslim Brotherhood members, President Mohammed Morsi, and many of the Governments’ Ministers).

The Muslim Brotherhood Government, claiming to know God and have been called upon to ensure God’s presence in every aspect of Egyptians’ lives, implementing God’s Rule (via a strict and conservative interpretation of the Sharia (Islamic Law)), ladies and gentlemen, is a grave violator of human rights, wiping away, quicker than one can imagine, any respect for human dignity and life.

This video is what Egyptians went to bed viewing and unable to forget. It is very similar to what Americans viewed during the Rodney King incident and later, treatment of prisoners held in Abu Ghraib by American soldiers. Please note it may not be appropriate for all ages.
