Half a billion eggs on recall list

Egg recall list affects Ohio

There's been a huge egg recall, so folks are searching for the egg recall list.

See the FDA's egg recall list here, and learn if any eggs you've had are on the recall list:

Apparently the nationwide egg recall list was expanded Friday to 500,000,000 eggs -- yes that's half-a-billion -- when an outbreak of salmonella was discovered to include another Iowa farm.

More than 1,000 people have been made sick thus far due to the egg recall -- but hopefully with more folks reading the egg recall list and comparing their eggs to the list, the outbreak of illnesses will be reduced.

"Wow," said one Cleveland-area mome, "half a billion eggs were recalled."

This egg recall list affects Ohio, according to NBC.

This Ohio-based reporter just checked her Egg Land's Best omega 3 eggs purchased in Akron, Ohio, and discovered that Egg Land's doesn't appear to be on the egg recall list of brands that the FDA lists at their link, which includes these brands -- but see their site for the plant number and Julian dates for eggs on the recall list that have been recalled by Wright County Egg and are packaged under the following brand names:

Last night, with my kids, we had fried chicken and eggs. The eggs were apperently recalled, and my son had to stay in the hospital for two days. But my other son and I thought the eggs were delicious! We never had eggs so good!!
