Effective communication and performance via e-technologies

Communication and Media Studies Students, who are upper-classmen, will make a presentation at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor about Effective Communication and Performance  via E-Technologies at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7. Trey Hazelton, Kelsey Broussard, Tanner Clarke, and Joseph Sarpong will give this demonstration that is free and open to the public on humanized connection, communication, and performance in Brindley Auditorium in York Hall. While demonstrating skillful use of PowerPoint that does not overshadow presenters, the students will address how to connect effectively with others in the following communication contexts that are facilitated by e-technologies: e-mail, e-groups, web sites, blogs, audio files, distance education sites, and videoconferences. They will display their professional e-portfolios and give guidance on writing effective bios, resumes, and work samples.

These students have studied my book, Enhanced by Technology, Not Diminished: A Practical Guide to Effective, Distance Communication (McGraw Hill, 2002). This text is available online.
