Edward Norton joins 'Birdman'

Alejandro González Iñárritu’s (“Babel”) upcoming dark comedy “Birdman” has been building quite the incredible cast, and it has managed to get just a little bit more epic.

According to Collider yesterday, Edward Norton (“Death to Smoochy”) has joined the cast that already includes Michael Keaton (“Batman”), Emma Stone (“The Amazing Spider-Man”), Zach Galifianakis (“The Hangover”), and Naomi Watts (“Funny Games”).

The film will center on an actor (Keaton) who once played an iconic superhero and now faces troubles with his ego and family as he prepares to mount a Broadway play in a bid to reclaim his past glory.

Norton will be playing the lead stage actor in Keaton’s play whose ego threatens the former superhero actor’s comeback.

This sounds like a hilarious film already (consider Keaton is more-or-less this character in real life), and I can’t wait for it to hit theaters.
