What Does Energy Efficiency Mean? Energy efficiency refers to the use of less energy for provision of the same service. It is to the same as energy conservation and its main role is to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions thus curb global warming, which is why at the May 13th School Board Meeting, Trane presented the St. Lucie County School Board with the “Energy Efficiency Leader Award” in recognition of the District’s commitment to energy and operational efficiency and sustainability.

The District has been aggressive in reducing energy costs; electric utility cost has been reduced by almost 40 % in 4 years. Previously ranked 60th out of the 67 Florida school districts for electrical expenses per student, the District has reduced its ranking to 18th in the 2012-2013 school year. The District reduced annual utility costs from over $12 million to less than $7 million.

About Trane . . . “It’s Hard to Stop a Trane”

Trane is all about air – cool air, warm air, clean air. As a world leader in air conditioning systems, services and solutions, we control the comfort of the air for people in homes and many of the world's largest and most famous commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Trane's is applying its expertise in environmental technology and energy conservation to make a difference in energy efficiency around the globe.

We must commend and acknowledge profoundly, those businesses and non-profits (hopefully the religious entities and governments are included in this should be ‘world enterprise’ endeavor), which recognize the importance of our human participation in helping to heal and maintain an old and damaged earth. Just as our human bodies change and become prone to many negative (and can be positive with proper actions) influences or exposures, so has the earth.

Working together as one united

WE, (World Enterprise---all continents and nations included) must become 21st century ‘Centurions’ to save and protect ourselves within ourselves. Each individual must silently within themselves take on the positive attitude that we can progress onward into the future with success and prosperity in all respects if we abide/abode to live by the laws of nature (which through studies in history can be proven both through creation and evolution---one by faith (spiritual creation and one by the physical (evolution).

We are justified by purity, integrity, humility and justification. When we do what we need and must do in spirit and in truth, the earth will bring forth all of our needs on all levels of existence; we must begin to believe in doing the right thing in consideration of each other in order to flourish in the earth. It’s togetherness and compromise that will satisfy all –not war and misguided and/or no trust. Let us begin to heal the earth together first with our individual thoughts of goodwill toward and for everyone ‘to always think and do the right things for humanity sake’.

Efficient energy use

(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Efficient energy use, sometimes simply called energy efficiency, is the goal to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and services. For example, insulating a home allows a building to use less heating and cooling energy to achieve and maintain a comfortable temperature. Installing fluorescent lights or natural skylights reduces the amount of energy required to attain the same level of illumination compared with using traditional incandescent light bulbs. Compact fluorescent lights use one-third the energy of incandescent lights and may last 6 to 10 times longer. Improvements in energy efficiency are generally achieved by adopting a more efficient technology or production processes or by application of commonly accepted methods to reduce energy losses.

There are many motivations to improve energy efficiency. Reducing energy use reduces energy costs and may result in a financial cost saving to consumers if the energy savings offset any additional costs of implementing an energy efficient technology. Reducing energy use is also seen as a solution to the problem of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. According to the International Energy Agency, improved energy efficiency in buildings, industrial processes and transportation could reduce the world's energy needs in 2050 by one third, and help control global emissions of greenhouse gases.

Energy efficiency and renewable energy are said to be the twin pillars of sustainable energy policy and are high priorities in the sustainable energy hierarchy. In many countries energy efficiency is also seen to have a national security benefit because it can be used to reduce the level of energy imports from foreign countries and may slow down the rate at which domestic energy resources are depleted.
