Edison & Ford Winter Estates annual antique car show on February 1

More than 100 antique cars will be on display at the Annual Edison Ford Antique Car Show on February 1, 2014. The show takes place at the Estates from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Owners will be on hand to visit with guests and answer questions. Admission to the Car Show is free for Edison Ford Members, $15 for adults, and $5 for children, and includes admission to the homes, gardens, lab and museum. Site Historian Tours cost $25 for adults and $15 for children and includes admission to the Car Show, homes, gardens, lab and museum. Audio/Self Guided Tours cost $20 for adults and $11 for children and includes an audio wand, admission to the Car Show, homes, gardens, lab and museum.

In addition to the car show, other special programs during the day include:

  • Model T Tour and Lecture with Edison Ford staff and car owners at 11 a.m.;
  • Henry and Clara Ford leading informal tours throughout the event;
  • Food available for purchase by Texas Tony’s BBQ, served on the Ford Cottage Terrace; and
  • Live Music.

A portion of the proceeds from the Edison Ford Antique Car Show will benefit the restoration of the antique car collection of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates.

The Edison Ford is open daily from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The Edison Ford is the winner of the 2009 National Stewardship Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is an official project of “Save America’s Treasures” at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site.
