Three weeks ago, a dog in Park Hills, Ky. suffered burns over three-quarters of his body after being hit by burning debris in a house fire.
His owners could not afford Edison’s extensive treatment, which will take months and run into thousands of dollars. So they turned the two-year-old Labrador Retriever over to Park Hills Animal Hospital. There, Eddie is receiving laser treatment, medication and medicated baths. Although his prognosis is good, he will still need surgeries.
Even though he is in pain, Park Hills Animal Hospital says of this remarkable dog on their Facebook page:
Amazes us that he is still a happy lab!
It will take several months before Edison is well enough to be put up for adoption. Until then, Eddie will have to go through a lot of procedures, require a lot of medication and the best of care.
If you would like to help Edison, the hospital is gratefully accepting donations. Park Hills Animal Hospital states on Facebook that you may call their office at (859) 581-5200 to donate by credit card or send a payment through PayPal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
