Let's face it, children love to put stuff in their mouth. It is a way of learning actually. Using their senses they are able to explore the world around them. I will be the first one to admit that I tried paste in Kindergarten Remember the large tubs of the sticky icky stuff we used in arts & crafts that the teacher would place in a Dixie cup that you would use a Popsicle stick to place it on your craft? Yep that stuff, GROSS!
Well I want my children to learn by exploring by using their senses as well. I also would like to provide something for them that is safe and save them from the most disgusting taste in their mouths. So in my home I make Peanut Butter Play dough, today I sharing this recipe with you.
Peanut Butter Play-dough
What you will need:
- 1 C creamy peanut butter
- 2 C powdered sugar
- 1/2 C honey
What you will need to do:
- Just throw it all together, mush it up with your hands and mix, mix, mix until its fairly smooth.
This makes enough for 2-3 kids. The oils from the peanut butter will keep it from sticking to the table and the kids' hands.
What kind of play dough do you like to create at home?
