An army of models clad in black strapless ultra-minis or variations of the LBD (little black dress), fishnet stockings and black boots took over the Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear fashion show runway today, March 4, 2013, making attendees unsure of what was to follow…
That stark, street-smart representation was no indication of Saint Laurent’s sweet, white Peter-pan collared floral minis, that are embellished with black ribbon bows – or even the halterneck gold tulle cocktail dress, which was topped off with a blue and black plaid shirt, reminiscent of 1990’s Seattle style grunge.
More plaid to be had in the way of a red and black plaid mini, again with white Peter-pan collar and black bow, toughened up with boots. There’s also a very elegant black and white plaid knee-length coat.
Their outerwear also includes a lovely, thick peach-colored (faux) fur coat with chunky lapels that looks like it would be a lot of fun to wear!
Saint Laurent Fall 2013 also offers separates such as their zippered black leather mini, a chic black halterneck top and even bra tops – or are they representing their underwear line?
Virtually all the outfits in the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 collection are teamed with short black boots, which are very much on-trend, fully-studded and extremely edgy – just the way the contemporary fashionista likes it!
Seen at today’s Saint Laurent Fall 2013 fashion show were actresses Kirsten Dunst, Catherine Deneuve (nice coral colored coat) and Jessica Chastain (also in a lovely deep coral dress), actor Garrett Hedlund, American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, and fashionistas Sky Ferreira (loved the gold booties!) and Giovana Battaglia.
