The Edgemere Sparrows Point Recreation Council (ESP) is hosting their annual music festival fundraiser, Edgestock. The all day festival, benefiting the ESP Field Fund, will kick off on Saturday, June 23 at 12:30pm and run into the night. It will be held at Fort Howard Park in Baltimore County.
This year’s lineup features local artists The Strait Shooter Band (Classic Rock), Outbreak (Classic Rock/Party Rock), and Kelly Bell Band (Funk & Blues). Headlining the event will be popular Led Zeppelin cover band from New York, Kashmir. Acoustic acts will be featured between sets.
This year’s event will also feature children’s activities, a horseshoe pit, and a beer and wine garden. Tickets are $10 for ages 6 and up, and free for children under 5 (free children’s tickets are available at the gate). Advanced tickets are available from Hob’s Citgo, Full House Saloon, and Ben’s Liquors, all located in Egemere, MD.
Edgestock is the brainchild of local business man and musician Kirk Baumgart who not only wanted to support hiscommunity but also wanted to help showcase local talent. The first festival was held June 17, 2006 and entertained more than 250 people from around Maryland. ESP Recreation Council provides recreation programs to the Edgemere, Sparrows Point, Millers Island, and Fort Howard areas. All proceeds from this event will support the ESP Recreation Council which is completely volunteer run.
