Edge of the Garden a romantic Hallmark Movie

Edge of the Garden is a  Hallmark Original Movie debuting on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The story has a romantic story about people who live during different times. Edge of the Garden stars Rob Estes, Sarah Manninen, Kelly Monaco and David Lewis.

Rob Estes (“Melrose Place,” “90210”) finds true love blooms in the strangest ways when he ventures to “Edge of the Garden.”  Estes stars alongside Sarah Manninen (“The Line”), Kelly Monaco (“General Hospital”) and David Lewis (“Harper’s Island”) as a lonely workaholic whose life will never be the same after he finds out he is sharing his garden bench with a ghost. The story is a variation on 'Somewhere in Time,' which starred Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves.

Brian Connor (Rob Estes) is a wealthy workaholic whose fiance, (Kelly Monaco) dramatically breaks their engagement after he neglects to attend their engagement party. Newly single, Connor travels to Maine, where his family corporation has taken over a local business.

Brian Connor arrives in Maine, planning to whip the new addition to the family corporation into shape. He needs to find a place to live, thinking a condo, and is shown a run down and deserted, but charming, cottage in the countryside. It is directly opposite of what he is looking for, but something about the cottage grabs him and he buys it immediately.

Brian gets a lesson in love and loss when he buys the charming but rundown old cottage in the countryside of Maine. Brian soon figures out he isn’t so alone when strange things start happening: lights mysteriously flicker, voices echo through the halls. Strangest of all, colorful and fresh bouquets of flowers appear around the house when the garden outside is weedy and neglected.

Curious, Brian wanders down the garden path and finds the spirit of Nora (Sarah Manninen), a beautiful woman who is quite literally living in the past! While Brian looks around and sees nothing but weeds, Nora sees a beautiful, blooming garden—just how it was when she lived in the house in the 1960s. Realizing they are living in the same house, fifty years apart, Nora and Brian find a way to communicate and they form a special friendship.

Brian learns that Nora lived in the house, as a young bride, with a successful, but abusive husband (David Lewis).  He does some research and learns that Nora died tragically in the 1960s. He finds her husband, still alive, but the man does not want to talk about Nora.

Can Brian break through the time barrier to protect Nora from her abusive husband and save her life? Or will history repeat itself?
