Edgar Wright's 'Ant-Man' test footage is leaked online

A test footage of the upcoming film, “Ant-Man,” debuts online. The footage was shown in July at ComicCon.

While there are some comedy elements in the film, the movie is not created as a parody. Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish wrote the script for the addition to the Marvel superhero comic film genre. Rumors suggest there are flashbacks to the 60s involved in the script (normally it's because OF the 60s we have the flashbacks). Wright states the film will tell of the origin of “Ant-Man.” Apparently, the film will put a damper on the character being a part of the Avengers team.

The footage was caught on a cellphone. Quality of the clip is good enough to clearly make out what is happening in the film.

(My apologies. All of the footage has been removed due to copyrights)

In the small piece of footage shown, it does appear there are comical aspects to the film – almost to the point where one would wonder if it were a spoof. It is difficult to assume anything from such a small piece but it does create the mindset that the film is attempting to mock films in the superhero genre.

Does the clip look like a spoof to you?

I have been a film critic for years. As a writer, I love to experience the writer's art as it comes alive on the screen.
