Edgar Wright drops out of "Ant-Man"

Well it's certainly disappointing for fans of "Shaun of the Dead," but it's true. Edgar Wright has dropped out of the future "Ant-Man" project. He claims that there were creative differences that couldn't be worked around. Which is not surprising considering Edgar Wright's directorial style versus that of a Marvel film. The studio claims they have already found a replacement but have yet to announce who and if the project is going to be delayed. Paul Rudd is still cast in the role of "Ant-Man" so the only thing changing is who is in the director's chair. Unfortunately, that is still a big change.

The good news is, we are only a couple months away from James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" adaption for Marvel studios. knowing James Gunn's style and his previous work for Troma, we can expect nothing less than fun, which is what Marvel desperately needs in wave two.
