Eddie Murphy made a special appearance on the stage of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards (KCA’s). Taking home a Nickelodeon blimp for 'Favorite Movie Voice' from an animated movie, Eddie Murphy won for his voice work in the popular kids movie "Shrek Forever After."
In the Shrek movie, the favorite voiced comedian plays a smarty-pants donkey who loves to talk more than think. Sharing funny sayings and just being loud, the donkey is the Ogre’s best friend who sometimes causes too much trouble. Loved by everyone, Donkey doesn't always have things correct in the beginning, but always does right in the end.
Eddie Murphy has been the voice for all the moves of the series and the kids have adored him. While adults know the comedian for his previous screen work, most of the kids who voted for the award show have never been introduced to Murphy’s past work.
Eddie Murphy beat out Tim Allen, Cameron Diaz and Tom Hanks to win the KCA award and even though there was slime all around, the comedian never had a drop touch his clothing!
