Bellator MMA 120 on May 16th is the first time Bellator has done a Pay-Per-View in the company's entire history. The first ever Bellator PPV was going to be headlined by two of the top Lightweights in MMA, and finishing out one of the best trilogies in MMA history. Unfortunately that rubber match will have to be put on hold, at least for now.

It has been reported by MMA Junkie that Bellator MMA Lightweight Champion and Philadelphia's own Eddie Alvarez had to pull out of his title fight with former champion Michael Chandler due to a concussion. This is the second time Bellator has attempted a Pay-Per-View and the headlining bout for the event is sabotaged due to a late injury. The first attempt being at Bellator MMA 106 on November 2nd, which was supposed to be headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Tito Ortiz. The collateral damage for that event was the co-main event, the second epic fight between Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler was pushed to the main event and the fights were shown live on Spike TV instead. This time around Bellator MMA is sticking with the PPV option, simply changing the fight to an Interim Lightweight Championship bout between Michael Chandler and the last Bellator Lightweight Tournament Champion, "Ill" Will Brooks.

Will Brooks is currently on a 4-fight win streak including decision victories over John Alessio, Saad Awad, and Alexander "Tiger" Sarnavskiy. Brooks has some top notch wrestling, and has shown it a lot in his tournament bouts. As for who Will Brooks will be facing, Chandler's wrestling pedigree at the University of Missouri isn't too shabby either. Before losing via Split Decision in the rematch against Alvarez, Chandler was undefeated at 12-0 including victories over Alvarez, Rick Hawn, David Rickels, Akihiro Gono, and Patricky "Pitbull" Freire.

The following is the now current Bellator MMA 120 PPV fight card (card subject to change) :
