Atlanta-based eData Collectors, Inc. delivered to Fulton County Information Technology its green, scalable, robust, easy to use system for implementation as an electronic data collection management solution. EDIC's paperless system enables Fulton County to customize unlimited management solutions that empower mobile staff, performing field inspections to wirelessly, in real-time/at the point-of-origin, collect information with a simple "touch" while creating an electronic record and audit trail. Information can immediately be downloaded for sharing, accessing customized reports and uploading/integrating with legacy systems. Staff will no longer have to carry paper, write, fax, copy or type reports with the green system.
The ability for management to easily and immediately access information will increase communication, accountability (by placing a chip at checkpoints and staff "touching"/recording date and time), tracking, monitoring, quality, controls, data analysis and proactive management of daily operations. Fulton County will save taxpayers' thousands of dollars with an immediate Return on Investment for EDCI's system, reduced errors, omissions, delays, risks, non-compliance penalties, equipment downtime, redundant labor costs and more.
In a city as big as Atlanta, this will save money and problems in the long run, and officials hope it will make buildings safer in Metro Atlanta.
In the future, Fulton County intends to expand the paperless eRecords Management System for other data collection requirements and to continue to improve data management efficiencies. Management is streamlining workflows and processes, recording date, time, location, inspector's/item name/ID, observations, tasks performed, inventory, condition and unlimited event codes recorded by inspectors in (88) City of Atlanta buildings. The system is HIPAA and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) -requiring payroll and timekeeping verification, in-real time, compliant.
