Ecuador finally had their friendly against Bolivia confirmed. After lots of speculation, La Tri will play in Ft. Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium on Saturday September 6. The announcement was made by Relevent Sports via a statement on Wednesday.
This match will be one of three FIFA international friendies that will be played in South Florida next month. The match will be played the day after Brazil and Colombia face off once again at Sun Life Stadium and three days before Chile faces Haiti at Lockhart.
The Ecuadorians begin their four-match tour of the United States that will continue in the month of October when they also face the US national team in East Hartford, Conn. as part of Landon Donovan’s tribute.
Ecuadorian interim coach Sixto Vizuete already called up various World Cup players, but there are some major absentees as Felipe Caicedo and Jefferson Montero denied the callup after the controversy that emerged after the World Cup bonus scandal.
