Economy is beginning to improve

The economy is beginning to improve. More people are going shopping and spending money. This means more jobs are being created. In Florida, the unemployment rate has decreased to below 7 percent and this is good news for everyone.

"I glad that more people are getting hired. I am glad that people now have more money to spend. I work in food service and I depend on tips to make a living," said Meghan Stanton.

"Construction was done for some years. I am glad that more building projects are coming because I need to work. I am now back on the job," said Pablo Gonzalez.

Others continue to struggle and they fear losing unemployment. "It is good that more jobs are being offered. I have applied for work but I have received few offers. I need good job," said Cynthia Bradley.

Hopefully everyone who wants a job in the coming year will be able to get one.
