The Eco-Nomic Living Expo is a morning full of workshops and informational sessions related to food, gardening and personal well-being. There will be 12 different sessions to choose from, plus an opening and closing speaker. At the end, there will be a free Adopt-A-Tree event.

The informational workshops include a wide variety of topics like raising chickens, hydroponics, water conservation, growing herbs and square-foot gardening. There will also be a plant clinic where you can get answers to all your lawn and garden questions.

It all takes place at the Orange County UF/IFAS Extension office located at 6021 S. Conway Rd. Orlando, FL 32812. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the first talk begins at 9:00. Registration and workshops are all free and open to the public.

The goal of the Eco-Nomic Living Expo is to motivate participants to develop habits that will have a low impact on the environment; and to help participants understand how to incorporate "sustainable" living and make it a lifestyle choice.
