Eco-friendly "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson wants to be a Hollywood screenwriter. On Jan. 8, 2013, Star magazine ran a special feature about the darling career girl and former child star. Saying, "the actress recently returned to studying at Rhode Island's Brown University after spending a year abroad at Oxford University and taking time off to continue her movie career," the celeb gossip source seemed to indicate that her decision to pursue screenwriting as a professional tract (rather than a hobby) would be a good thing.
"Watson has now revealed she is harboring ambitions to become a writer and hopes to eventually work on screenplays..." said the source. The actress whose star power rose considerably when she became internationally famous says, "I would like to adapt something. Maybe eventually even (right) an original work… I would love to think I could write, but I would feel a bit intimidated. It is definitely something I would like to do, though."
Watson -- who Today days was recently mistaken at an airport for being a child traveling alone -- has also tried her hand in the fashion industry. She actually has been promoting her own eco-friendly line of clothing for several years now. Focusing on the fair trade labor practices and quality of her materials, she has actually been quite successful marketing organic clothes in the green products sector.
Will the actress write screenplays for movies that have a green theme? Considering she is passionate about protecting the environment and living responsibly (at least according to the Daily Mail), one would expect that any storyline she does develop would be intellectually challenging and emotionally compelling.
