The classical and sacred genres will blend this Saturday, April 5, 2014 as three completely different Baltimore groups collaborate to present a concert. The event is billed as, "This is My Voice" and will feature classically trained students from the world-renowned Peabody Institute along with gospel choirs from both New Shiloh Baptist and Ark Church.

This is a world premiere based upon Baltimore City School and Peabody Tuned-In students. The concert will take place at 5:00PM at the Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall, located at the Peabody Institute 17 E. Mt. Vernon Place in Baltimore.

This is a song cycle for mezzo soprano, children's chorus and piano.

The Peabody Institute, located in the Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore City, is a world-renowned school noted for its classically-trained students and rigorous educational programs. It is the country's first conservatory.

Ark Church and New Shiloh Baptist Church are pillars of the city as they strive to uplift and impact lives in the Baltimore area. The pastor of Ark Church is Bishop-elect J.L. Carter. The pastor of New Shiloh is Dr. Harold Carter, Jr. (no relation).
