**This coming Friday, February 3, 2012, marks the first annual Mills Dance Alumni Concert, Ebb+Flow, February 3rd, 7pm at Lisser Theater. Featuring artists Alyce Finwall, Bianca Brzezinski, José Navarrete, Leyya Mona Tawil, Molissa Fenley, Peiling Kao, Nora Chipaumire and Sheena Johnson.
The evening will include an installation, film, duets and solos with live music collaboration as well as a site-specific work. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to witness the multi-faceted artistry of Mills Dance Alumni, many of whom contribute to the diverse Bay Area dance community and dance communities all over the globe.
This intergenerational concert honors the achievements of Mills Alumni for their dedication to experimentation, to rigorous choreographic research and to keeping the Mills dance tradition that began in 1920s alive and well today. Ebb + Flow is co-sponsored by the Mills College Dance Department and Mills College Alumnae Relations.
