eBay seller boosts bids on yellow skater dress with nude reflection (Photos)

Today, The Inquistir reported that a young British woman, Aimi Jones, became internet famous for accidentally capturing herself mostly nude in a mirror next to the dress she posted for sale.

“I put it on eBay last Saturday morning and realised straight away so ended the sale,” she said. “But what I didn’t realise was that people could still see it on the site. I reported it to eBay and they took it down, but by then it had gone viral. I’ve had messages from Australia and the US saying nice things but there are some nutters. My boyfriend Andy thinks the whole thing is hilarious.”

Mz. Jones reposted the dress after it went viral, this time her mirror image is clothed in a black jacket and short-shorts. However, her viral picture caused the bidding on the dress to spiral out of control. The dress attracted a bid of £153, 911 or about $245,087.

Her blunder has inspired a page on Twitter #ebayyellowskaterdress and edits of her photo in which fictional characters “accidentally” appear in her place. Mz. Jones certainly isn't the first to upload a product photo on ebay that reveals more personal goods; however whether or not these photos are truly accidents is up for debate.
