Earlier in the week negotiations between Paypal, owned by eBay Inc., and Google's proprietary Android operating software, were rumored. Though sources are still not commenting on the subject, rumors have turned to action in the stock market, for eBay at least.
eBay (EBAY) closed today up 1.73% at $23.13, continuing the momentum from early in the week. Not approaching the 52-week high as of yet, being $28.37 respectively.
$500 million in revenue by 2013 can be expected if the Paypal service is added to the Android applications service, according to Susquehanna Financial Group.
Google (GOOG) however, saw a decline today closing at $467.97. Stockholders have many items to consider with investing in the Internet search giant; not limited to the accusation of Google being in alleged infringement of Oracle's Java software. A lawsuit was filed earlier in the month regarding patents and copyrights involved.
