Last year I wrote a post about eBay listings that you could outsource to someone else and still make money. It was like you are hiring a subcontractor, and you just need to make sure that the work gets done! If you haven’t read this post, then check it out HERE. I thought it would be nice to go through a couple of other ideas that I have tried and have had success with.
If you didn’t already know, eBay has a category called Services. This is where you will complete a tasks for someone, and normally isn’t a physical item. For example, like I pointed out in my last post, many buyers turn to eBay to have someone write their resume, get a tarot reading, or even get sport picks. This can be a really great way to make some money if you can provide those services yourself, but if you aren’t a tarot reader, don’t worry. I use one of my favorite sites to outsource the work, and I pass along the finished product to the customer. That site is called Fiverr, and if you haven’t heard of it then let me explain what they do. It’s a site that skilled individuals will list what they will do for $5. The site has a rating system similar to eBay to let the buyer know if the seller can perform the task that he claims. Let’s take a look at a few outsourcing gigs that I have Fiverr complete for me:
Facebook Likes – Most business, small or large, have a Facebook page that their fans can log into and see promotions and updates that the company may have. For a start up company, it may be embarrassing to have some potential customers come to your Facebook page and see that you only have 10 likes. Because of this, there are services out there that will add hundreds of likes to your page for a fee, and buyers are coming to eBay to get the job done. I personally have no idea how this service is done, nor do I need too. All I need to know is a reputable Fiverr user who will complete this task for me. Just to put this into perspective, sellers on eBay are selling 1,000 facebook likes for $19.99, and my trusted Fiverr seller will do it for $10 (500 likes for $5).
Design a Logo – When it comes to Logo for a company or website, nothing is more important. It’s the face of your business, and usually sticks around for awhile. Because of this, it’s really important to get it right! Businesses turn to eBay because they know that there are a lot of creative people out there that are great with Graphic Design. Also, some companies will charge you a lot of money that some start ups don’t have. Take a look at this website HERE, it shows how much some companies paid for their logo (e.g. Enron paid $33,000)! Most listings for Graphic Design are selling for $15 on eBay, and guess what, my trusted seller on Fiverr is selling it for $5.
These are just a couple of items that I outsource, but there are much more that you could do. Take a look at Fiverr HERE, and see what else you can find!
