Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, along with eBay Enterprise officials, announced on Wednesday September 18, that eBay Enterprises, operating under the company eBay Inc. will be expanding operations in the Louisville area, which will create 150 new jobs and create up to a $45 million investment in the Louisville, Kentucky area. The expansion will include merging the two newly purchased eBay buildings in addition to the current building on Trade Port Drive in Louisville for a total of 270,000 square-feet on 17 acres. eBay will receive tax incentives up to $1.5 million approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority to encourage eBay's investment and job growth in the Louisville area.
