Eat your way to beautiful skin using a vegetarian diet

Eating your way to beauty
Great skin start with a good clean diet. Eating potassium rich foods, leafy greens, bell peppers, bananas, brocolli, sunflower seeds, fish and sea greens, will help improve clarity and texture to your skin. Also, yogurt, tofu, and kefir helps balance skin pH.  Your wrinkles prevention starts with eating plenty of vegetable proteins, suggest as, salmon, sprouts, and soy foods.  Drinking a carrot/beet/cucumber juice once a week, keeps the liver cleanse and in turn keeps your skin looking vibrant.  Healthy skin contains 50% to 75% water. So, get those recycable water bottles out and start drinking 6 -8 glasses of water everyday. Eliminating red meats, fried and fatty fast foods out your diet will help improve your mood, your energy level and your complexion. Using a balancing mask once a week will help exfoliate the skin leaving it smooth and refreshed. Here are a few home remedies to get you started:
  • Smooth a blend of aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil on to your face using circular motion, gently moving the fingers upward toward the temples.
  • Swirl 3 tbs of honey in your bath water for silky skin. Apply a body lotion after your shower before you dry off.
  • Get 20 minutes of early morning sunlight, the skin loves vitamin D.

Remember to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate for a radiant complexion. B’Tyli Natural Skin Therapies has a wonderful Brown Sugar Scrub and for cellulite try their Coffee Shea Butter Scrub. . For a homemade  exfoliate, try using a mixture of cornmeal, yogurt and honey , mix all the ingredients over you face, using circular motions and rinse with a warm wet cloth.

One of the greatest things you can do for your skin, beside a vegetarian diet,  is to get plenty of rest. Eating your way to beautiful skin is making conscious decision to live well and beautifully.
