Eat to your heart's content at Burton, Ohio's pancake breakfasts

With the state of Ohio being the 4th largest producer of maple syrup in the United States, 'tis the season for pancake and syrup enthusiasts to get their fill of these tasty treats as two Burton, Ohio venues offer pancake breakfasts over the next several weekends. Burton, Ohio is located approximately 40 miles from Cleveland.

Burton, Ohio (Pancake Town USA) Serving pancakes and locally-made maple syrup every February and March since 1951 to over 447,000 guests, Burton, Ohio is offering all-you-can-eat breakfasts at two locales this year. Officially trademarked as Pancake Town USA, the city of Burton will hold breakfasts at historic Century Village Museum and Berkshire High School.

All-you-can-eat pancakes will be held at the Century Village Museum on Sundays, February 24, March 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The menu consists of the pancakes, real maple syrup, sausage patties, orange juice and coffee, tea or milk. Cost of the breakfast runs from $4- $7.

Century Village is located on 65 acres of land with various historic buildings and depicts Western Reserve village life from 1796- 1900. They even have their own sugar bush for making maple syrup. Some of the historic structures that you can visit while there are the 1798 Umberfield Cabin, a blacksmith shop, an 1846 church, an 1878 train station, an 1872 schoolhouse and five furnished homes.

Century Village is located at 14653 East Park Street in Burton.

Sponsored by the city of Burton and the Middlefield Rotary, pancakes and omelet breakfasts will be held at Berkshire High School on Sundays, March 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 8 a.m.- 1 :30 p.m. In addition to pancakes, visitors can get various kinds of omelets (Western, Ham & Cheese and Vegetarian). Cost of the pancake breakfast is $8 for adults and $5 for children (4-10). Pancakes and omelets will cost you $11.
