My comedy show Eat, Pray, Laugh! about traveling in India is coming to Oakland this Saturday, July 30th at 8PM. After a world premiere in 2009 at the SF Fringe Festival, a 19 week run at the Off-Market Theater, and a world tour with stops in London, Mumbai, New York, and Los Angeles, I'm bringing the show to Flying Yoga Shala in Oakland.
Why come? Maybe you've just been traveling--or know someone who has and are feeling a bit of wanderlust. Maybe you want to experience a bit of what it's like to go on a spiritual journey. Enjoy an enchanting evening of chai, prasad, and laughs.
About the show: Eat, Pray, Laugh! chronicles my three month solo trip across India in search of spiritual salvation, which turns out to look nothing ike she imagined. From seductive French yoga teachers to scary Indian toilets, I dish on everything including th Italian fashion reporter with a Krishna fetish, mosquitos the size of small ponies, Chabad Jews on the Ganges and ultimately, the true meaning of mustaches and masala chai. See a trailer on my website.
Who says there's no nightlife in the East Bay?!
