If I hear one more "in this economy" statement I may get sick, unless it's in this regard: "In this economy, you should eat out often," but I would say that regardless of the stock market fluctuations, job market, weather or moon phase.
Eating out rules; that's why I do this job. About the only thing that makes eating out better is when it's for a good cause. Today marks the return of Dining Out for Life, a one-day fundraiser at a bunch of area restaurants that is hoping to raise $380,000 for Project Angel Heart.
More than 335 participating restaurants are donating 25 percent of today's meal receipts to the cause. The extensive list includes some of my favorites such as Anthony's Pizza & Pasta, Jax, Blue Bonnet, Marco's Coal Fired Pizza, Wazee Super Club, Rioja and more. Join the more than 80,000 diners today in eating well. Because, in this economy, knowing that some of your hard earned money is going toward a great cause is so important. Project Angel Heart delivers nutritious, sustaining meals to people who are coping with life-threatening illnesses such as HIV/Aids. This year alone, Project Angel Heart is expected to serve 400,000 meals to 1,700 people at no cost, including meal No. 3,000,000 in the nonprofit's history (expected to be dished out in July).

Jacob Harkins? Now I am assuming you are Jake Harkins? Is that correct? If it is, I want to know what you have done in the last few months that warrants your selection over others who have been here much longer and done much more? If I am wrong, I apologize. If I am right, I am anxious to hear your story.
