Eat in for a better school lunch

Let's get REAL FOODS into our schools!

Concerned about the quality of food your child is eating at school? Here's an opportunity to take action! On September 7, a group of Missouri constituents are organizing a public potluck (called an “Eat-In”) to demonstrate that the Kansas City Metro area is ready to provide our children with real food at school. This event is just one of hundreds taking place across America as part of the Time for Lunch National Eat-In.

What: Kansas City "Time for Lunch" Eat-In (community potluck)
Date: Labor Day- Monday, September 7, 2009
When: 12 noon- ?
Where: Border Star Montessori School-near the playground
6321 Wornall Road, KCMO

To stick with the ritual of a potluck, please bring a home-cooked dish to contribute to the community lunch feast. We will also have a solar cooker and grill (s?) on site as well. You are also invited to bring reusable utensils, plates, and cups, along with a contagious smile.
