Running from July 27-August 3, Eat Drink SF will blow you away with their food-riffic line-up of gala events, dinner parties, cooking classes, acclaimed chefs, brewers, mixologists and somms.
Back for its sixth year (if you’re slapping yourself for missing the last five you can stop now, because you probably did attend under their old name "SF Chefs" and in their old, too-close-for-comfort digs, a packed tent in Union Square.
Well, this baby is all grown up now and going for the big-time. Gala events will be held in the humongous Fort Mason Festival Pavilion, while lectures and demos will be in more intimate classrooms. With all this new found space to stretch out in, Eat Drink SF has added 40 additional chefs to their previously impressive line-up.
In a perfect world, I’d camp out and take advantage of the full week of foodie fun, but then I’d have to diet for the rest of August, so I’m whittling down my choices to the Ramen Noodle Work(shop), the Bar Crawl, which offers the city’s best sips minus the crawl, and, since I really love a good bloody, the From Farm to Glass: The Bloody Mary is calling out to me.
I’m definitely going to splurge on at least one of the Lexus Grand Tasting events, held August 1-3 where guests will sample delightful tidbits from 150 of the best Bay Area restaurants, which shouldn’t be a problem since we all know that calories eaten standing up don’t really count
