For the third year in a row, Monmouth Park racetrack in Oceanport will be hosting the Jersey Shore Food Truck Wars. The event is slated to start on May 24, and run through Memorial Day. More than 26 food trucks are expected to take part, offering foods ranging from ice cream and cupcakes to hot dogs, pizza and more. Click here for a complete list of participating food trucks and their menus.

Not only will visitors have the opportunity to sample some of the best that food trucks have to offer, they also get the chance to vote on their favorite food truck. The winner will receive a People’s Choice Award.

Last year’s Food Truck Wars, which only ran for two of the three-day holiday weekend, drew 31,000 people to Monmouth Park. The 2013 People’s Choice Winner, Bacon on Wheels, sold out of its signature item, bacon-on-a-stick, before 5 p.m. on both days.

The food trucks will also compete for recognition in several other categories, such as the Most Seductive Sweet, the Guiltiest Pleasure, and the Cutting Edge Cuisine. "The Star Ledger’s" Pete Genovese, aka the Food Dude, will be one of the judges.

Memorial Day is Family Fun day. From noon to 4 p.m., children can enjoy face painting, ride a pony, and play in a bounce house.

The festival will run May 24-26 from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. The racetrack is located at 175 Oceanport Ave., Oceanport. Grandstand admission, which includes admission to the festival area, is $3. Children under 12 are admitted free. Visit the Monmouth Park website for more information.
