Many people are not aware that living a frugal lifestyle does not have to be difficult. They believe that living frugally will take too much time to start, so they put things off time and time again, all the while feeling guilty for their spending habits.
It does not have to be these ways.
-
Start a change jar. Put all your change in this jar at the end of the day, as well as money from returnables and coupon use. Take it a step further if you like, by also placing money you have saved by shopping clearance and other sales and thrift shops. The money will add up quickly this way.
-
Purchase you next new outfit at the Salvation Army.
-
Start using the public transit services, such as the city bus. Here in Bangor, a bus ticket is $1.25 or less, depending on how you decide to purchase it.
-
Bring your breakfast/lunch/dinner from home. Using leftovers for this, and adding other components, will make this even more affordable.
-
Grow dwarf citrus trees in a sunny window. This will take time. You can start with seeds from the actual fruit or seedlings, but be sure to purchase these items organic. Do not use anything inorganic when growing food.
-
Hang clothes to dry.
See. These are things you can incorporate into your life quickly. So get started today, and save your money.
