Easy To Make Organic Bean Vine Trellis Ideas

Onganic vine beans grow well in St, Paul, Minnesota area since the soil is good and the weather is right for growing them.  They can grow fast and long so you need a trellis for them to grow up on.  This trellis does not have to be difficult to makebut remember to use only organic material for your trellis.

You can simple put a metel post in the ground and plant four beans around each post.  As the beans grow they will attach to the pole and it will make a nice trellis for the beans to grow on.

My favorite bean trellis is a sunflower.  I plant sunflowers first and let them get to be a few inches tall before I plant fourn beans around each sunflower.  As the sunflower grows I pick off the lower leaves and the pole of the sunflower makes an excellent organic pole for the beans to grow up on.  Sunflowers are a hardy strong plant and the beans can grow up them without harming the sunflower yet the beans are easy to find and pick.

You can also put poles in a row of beans at four foot intervals and stretch a string from pole to pole at six inch intervals up the poles.  The beans will grow along the strings and will be easy to find and pick.  Make sure to use a sturdy string and strong poles or the beans will be heavy enough to pull the poles down.
