It is that beautiful time of year in Lexington, where grilling makes for the perfect meal. Steaks are an easy and delicious food to grill

The following is an easy marinade recipe for grilled steak. Marinading the steak before grilling gives the meat tons of flavor, and makes it tender. The vinegar from the dijon mustard helps break down the steak. Angus top sirloin is a great cut of meat to use with this recipe. Enjoy! 



Easy steak marinade


1 tablespoon olive oil

3 tablespoons worcestshire sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon sugar 

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper 

1-2 pounds top sirloin steak


1. Combine all of the ingredients except for the steak in a large bowl. Add the steak and cover. Marinade for 4 hours to overnight. 

2. Grill until cooked to your desired doneness. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest five minutes to redistribute the juices in the steak. Serve and enjoy!
